Hey, everyone! How's it going?

I've been a bit distant recently due to personal matters. I'm organizing some goals and projects, and in the end, I just didn't have time to manage the blog posts! It was a great period to define a new action plan.

I want to share with you some news that directly impacts the Brazilian FinOps community! That said, let's get to the topics!

Made by a Brazilian for Brazilians

I want to share with you a major difficulty in maintaining this blog: the paid subscription. Many of the platform's resources require a subscription fee that I unfortunately cannot afford at the moment. But this is not a request for financial support, relax!

What I would like you to know is that my initial idea was to share content in at least two languages, which would be Portuguese and English. And indeed, when you check the post list, there is content in both languages!

Unfortunately, this is a mess because it visually clutters the blog, considering the duplication of thumbnail images and even the repetition of some titles followed by the suffix “English version.” This happens because the platform only releases the translation tool on a plan above what I can currently afford. So when I want to share content in more than one language, I have to write the article twice and publish it twice.

Unfortunately, I will not have the possibility to do that. In fact, I don’t want to do it. So I decided to keep my project at its core, which was to share my knowledge with the Brazilian community. A FinOps blog made by a Brazilian for Brazilians!

Thus, I announce that I will no longer translate the texts on this blog, and I will continue to write in Portuguese! We already have a lot of quality material in other languages.

BrazilClouds – Global Cloud Computing Network

Recently, I became one of the administrators of BrazilClouds, a network aimed at connecting cloud users and sharing knowledge in various areas and tools for efficient cloud management.

In addition to my role as a group administrator, I will also contribute to the creation of new content and publications. I invite you to be part of this community to share experiences and knowledge! To join, click here.

Besides sharing content, we will soon hold in-person and online meetups so we can unite and get to know each other better! Brazil is the birthplace of great talents and professionals, many of whom we still need to meet! Our goal is to give voice and space to as many cloud professionals and users in Brazil as possible! This invitation is for you!

SpainClouds

With the mission of sharing and promoting knowledge about cloud computing, SpainClouds shares content and best practices focused on cloud professionals.

I am very happy to share with you that I was invited to be part of the author team of the group, contributing to the creation of technical articles and content about FinOps. Check out everything we've produced by clicking here!

FinOps Focus Newsletter

During the time I was away from social media, I was thinking about the need for more FinOps content for the Brazilian audience, in our language, and perhaps considering the particularities of our country that directly impact cloud resource management and costs.

The reason I decided to create a newsletter is the possibility of keeping you informed and constantly engaged with the latest news around the FinOps theme! Additionally, the newsletter will have exclusive content for subscribers, which will not be available on this blog. It was the way I found to continue producing technical FinOps content in the few hours I have available to do so.

I'm talking about hours spent poring over technical documentation or sitting in front of my computer testing solutions and scripts that I can share with you to reduce the time needed for some of your tasks.

Moreover, the newsletter is directly linked to the last piece of news I would like to share….

A Book on FinOps Practices?

One of my projects for 2025 includes creating a book on FinOps practices. The idea of the publication will be to share technical knowledge based on the principles and methodologies of FinOps. I will share best practices used daily in my profession as a FinOps Analyst through which I promote the FinOps culture for various clients in the company I work for.

This work will be closely followed by those who subscribe to the newsletter, as the chapters will be made available gradually and in advance for subscribers! It’s the best way to provide the material immediately without hindering the production of the final version. Plus, it will motivate me to keep writing, haha.

That's it…

We will have more news soon. Until then, I will return with regular posts here on the personal blog!
