Get tighter control over Bedrock throughput limits

Amazon Bedrock Service Quotas for the bedrock-mantle endpoint now show per-model input and output tokens-per-minute limits, along with other quota details. That gives teams a clearer view of the throttles that can affect inference workloads.

For FinOps teams, this helps with capacity planning. If you know where the limits are, you can request quota increases earlier and reduce the chance of unexpected slowdowns that can affect performance and spend. It’s also handy for avoiding guesswork during scale-up. Better quota visibility makes it easier to align usage with demand before inference traffic starts bumping into limits.

Improve cost allocation in AWS Clean Rooms collaborations

AWS Clean Rooms now supports mutable payment configurations so collaboration members can reassign authorized payers for SQL, PySpark, ML training and inference, and synthetic data generation. That gives teams more control over how shared costs are assigned.

See billing transfer gaps before they become cleanup work

AWS Billing Conductor now shows billing transfer inventory visibility by highlighting accounts that accepted billing transfer invites but still don’t have pro-forma billing group configuration. AWS also added EventBridge and User Notifications for daily summaries.

Amazon CloudWatch Logs Insights now has 13 new query commands and functions including tools like regex_replace, haversine, base64decode, parse logfmt, expand, and relevantfields. AWS says these additions make in-place log analysis richer and reduce the need for external ETL just to shape or parse logs.

Keep dashboards moving with IAM principal data in exports

CID Data Exports v0.12.0 adds IAM principal data support through INCLUDE_IAM_PRINCIPAL_DATA, which brings IAM principal metadata into Cost and Usage Report exports. That makes it easier to build cost dashboards using IAM identity and tags.

CUDOS v5.8.0 adds new FinOps visuals and dataset improvements in QuickSight, including Amazon Bedrock cost-per-token by usage type, IAM principal tag cost breakdowns, and Database Savings Plans coverage. AWS also notes dataset performance improvements.

Amazon DocumentDB Serverless is now available on DocumentDB 8.0 and AWS says it can deliver up to 90% cost savings compared to provisioning for peak capacity. It also comes with faster queries and improved compression.

Cut cross-AZ replication latency in RDS Multi-AZ

Amazon RDS Multi-AZ replication now uses ENA Express for cross-AZ replication. AWS says this can deliver up to 25 Gbps single-flow bandwidth, with lower latency variability and higher write throughput.
