Azure Monitor now links performance goals to customer impact

Azure Monitor added Service Level Indicators and Service Level Objectives, and they’re generally available now.

The key change is that teams can measure customer-experience metrics instead of only infrastructure signals. That makes it easier to connect engineering targets to user-facing availability and latency goals.

Azure Cobalt 200 VMs bring a more efficient Arm option

Microsoft announced Azure Cobalt 200 VMs in early access preview, a custom Arm-based SoC family for cloud-native and agentic AI workloads.

Microsoft says the new VMs can deliver up to about 50% generational CPU performance improvement, along with higher memory and network throughput. That makes them a stronger option for large-scale workloads that need both speed and efficiency.

Claude Fable 5 is now available in Microsoft Foundry

Anthropic Claude Fable 5 is available in Microsoft Foundry, and the announcement includes token pricing.

The listed pricing is $10 per 1M input tokens and $50 per 1M output tokens, which gives FinOps teams concrete unit prices for cost modeling. That’s especially helpful when estimating GenAI spend across document workflows and agent workloads.
