Speed up batch jobs by giving them more instance choice

Google Cloud Batch has introduced instance flexibility in Preview, which should help with job placement and capacity availability.

Jobs can now specify multiple machine types and rank them. That improves obtainability and can reduce retries or expensive overprovisioning for batch workloads.

Use Gemini 3.6 Flash in the global region

Gemini Enterprise has made Gemini 3.6 Flash available in the global region, giving teams access to a newer model option.

Google Cloud also announced deprecation timelines for older Flash models. This update is especially relevant if your org is using Gemini models in production.
