Microsoft has detailed new Microsoft Foundry capabilities for governing AI agent economics, including project-level cost attribution and visibility into token and model usage.

Teams can set request-time quotas and limits through the AI Gateway, while tracing and anomaly monitoring help identify inefficient or unexpected agent behavior. These controls give FinOps teams more detail about where AI spending originates and how consumption changes over time.
