Keep AI agent spending flexible while adding firm budget guardrails
Google Cloud introduced flexible billing and cost controls for AI agents on Google Cloud, giving teams more ways to support agent workloads without losing spending visibility.
Gemini Enterprise now supports a combination of predictable per-user subscriptions and a new pay-as-you-go consumption option. The consumption edition has no upfront commitment or base subscription fee, so spending follows actual compute and token usage.
Cut token costs with Gemini Enterprise Flexible Savings Plans
Gemini Enterprise Flexible Savings Plans can reduce token costs as usage grows.
The plans use a spend-based monthly commitment rather than a fixed usage minimum. Customers receive 10% off with a one-year commitment or 20% off with a three-year commitment, with no minimum or maximum monthly spend requirement.
Monitor BigQuery data agent costs alongside performance
BigQuery data agents and their conversations can now be monitored through Google Cloud Observability.
The monitoring provides visibility into agent performance, adoption, latency, and costs. Teams can use that information to measure AI workload efficiency and identify agent behaviors associated with higher spending.
